All MPA fitness classes cost £5 each (or £3 for 30 minute sessions) or we have Personal Trainers and a range of Memberships to help you reach your goals.

MPA Turbo Training (Matt)

This class will run from 9th Jan – 18th April 2019 7:30 – 8:30.  Bring your own bike/turbo trainer/heart rate monitor Garmins and own accessories, as if doing a normal turbo at home.  Bring a towel, cycling shorts and a short-sleeve/vest base layer. This class is for anyone who wants to get a good group workout on the turbo trainers instead of doing it at home and is getting bored on their own. It is a good chance for people to socialise and ask questions with other like minded people, and just make training that little bit more fun. The class is for people finding training through winter tough and looking to progress fitness at the same time. If anyone doesn’t have a bike, there are 4 spin bikes available that can be used, but must be booked by messaging the gym, (please note they don’t read power or HR, but if you just fancy trying it out without buying a bike or turbo these would be a good alternative).  A race simulated turbo plan will be set out by Matt and will include lots of high intensity efforts, which will be changed in the sessions each week, to try and keep it fun for those doing them every week. The class charge is £5 for non members and free to MPA members.  There is a discounted rate for WVCC and David Hinde Bike owners, who can book 10 sessions for £40, full amount payable on first session. 

MPA Power Circuits (Diane)

Plyometrics are a highly effective form of power training used to enhance sports performance and radically increase your fitness in no time.  This class will mix up each week to keep everyone motivated and your body always guessing. The exercises in this class will manipulate the elasticity and strength of muscles by increasing the speed and force of their contractions.  The movements include lunge hops, jump squats, medicine ball jump tosses, jumping jacks, the list is endless.  For beginners the exercises can be completed using bodyweight, but as progression occurs, weights can be added.  If you want to run faster, jump higher, move quicker or just get into better shape quickly, this class will work for you.

MPA Train Insane (Liam)

Liam White introduces Train Insane exclusively to MPA Fitness.  This high energy class is choreographed to great uplifting music, and packed full of plyometrics and body weight exercises guaranteed to tone your body for the summer. Once again this class is suited to all levels of ability and is a fun way to get fit with your friends.  If you like your work out to be a feel good experience then this amazing class is for you.

MPA Boxing Circuits (Kev)

As a high intensity, full body workout, this is hard to beat. Focusing on body conditioning and fat stripping this class uses the same methods and techniques that elite boxers use. The perfect workout for weight loss, muscle tone, will power and all round cardiovascular excellence which can transform your life.

MPA Circuit Training (Liam)

Circuit Training is as traditional and effective as it gets. We get all our toys out so you can play with ropes, hammers, tyres, boxes, barbells and a bucket load more to ensure you experience an hour like nothing you’ve had before. Tone, strengthen and re-shape your body in an ultra-effective combination of exercises and drills and as you’ll be performing this as part of a lively group, motivation and inspiration will come easy!

MPA Circuit Training (Kev)

You will not see a work setting more thoroughly laid out than for this extremely popular fitness class. Kev is always in 30 minutes prior to the start. You will be taken through a multitude of exercises in a timed format that challenge your lifting capabilities through the 6 movement patterns. The music is loud and the motivation high for this hour so come along for maximum enjoyment.

MPA Cardio Circuits (Kev)

In this one hour class you will warm up extensively in preparation for a set workout that challenges you, to either complete the challenge as fast as you can, or complete as much as you can within a given time period. The emphasis is on constant work without rest but is all at your own pace. The harder you push yourself the fitter you become. Your heart and lungs will love this one!

MPA Yogiology (Kayleigh)

A yoga inspired exercise class that will challenge you physically and balance you mentally. This class encourages mindfulness throughout movement, and involves Calisthenics to celebrate movement which uses the whole body cohesively. Learn how to break boundaries and become both physically and spiritually endowed.

MPA Lifting Circuits (Matt)

However with our lifting circuit we get all our toys out so you can play with tyres, boxes, barbells and a bucket load more to ensure you experience an hour like nothing you’ve had before. Tone, strengthen and re-shape your body in an ultra-effective combination of exercises and drills and as you’ll be performing this as part of a lively group, motivation and inspiration will come easy!  This class will use equipment, however if you are new to lifting you can start by using your own bodyweight and within weeks you will see great progression if you commit to this class, and try to find time to achieve an additional 2/3 exercise sessions a week.  Progress is about commitment and forming new habits.
